Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to speak at the second Joint Commanders’ Conference, which is taking place on May 7 and 8, 2026, in Jaipur. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Military capability in new domains,’ and it will gather senior leadership from the Indian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.
The event will be hosted at the Sapta Shakti Command headquarters and is anticipated to draw the top military leaders, including the Chief of Defence Staff, along with leading commanders from the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
During the conference, Mr. Singh will chair critical sessions addressing various topics. According to the Integrated Defence Staff, discussions will centre around enhancing military capabilities in emerging fields such as cyber warfare, space operations, and cognitive warfare. There will also be an emphasis on strategies for future warfare alongside fostering self-reliance through innovation, indigenisation, and civil-military integration.
The conference holds added significance as it coincides with the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, which aims to address evolving security challenges and improve operational readiness. It is expected to be a vital platform for shaping India’s military strategy in next-generation warfare while promoting greater cooperation among the armed forces.
