Resorts World Sentosa sustainability lead departs for Macao casino brand SJM

Brian Ho, the sustainability head of Singapore casino complex Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), has left after just a year in the role to join Macao-based casino operator SJM Resorts.

At SJM Resorts, an integrated casino and hospitality company, Ho will help implement its sustainability goals, including plans to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.

RWS has appointed Loh Su Kim as chief strategy and sustainability officer, effective January 2026. Loh previously led the resort’s sustainability function for four years before Ho succeeded her as vice president of sustainability in early 2025.

In a broader role, Loh is responsible in shaping RWS’s strategic direction as well as driving its sustainability strategy and targets, which include achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, reducing waste-to-landfill intensity by about a half, and contributing to local marine biodiversity conservation projects.

Over his career, Ho has worked for sustainability consulting firm CSR Asia as China director based in Beijing, and as a researcher for the City University of Hong Kong’s Southeast Asia Research Centre. Ho was previously Southeast Asia head of sustainability for Deloitte. He moved to Singapore from Hong Kong in 2021 after a spell with EY, where has was partner, climate change and sustainability services.

In a LinkedIn post to mark his departure from Singapore, Ho reflected on the city-state’s strengths in sustainable business, including generous government support for sustainability initiatives, large companies helping smaller firms to achieve sustainability ambitions, and talent development as a national priority.
